Leila woke up earlier than Alex and began work. The day started together with a coffee in the garden (pretty sure this part is accurate… we do this every day). Leila couldn’t stop sneezing; hayfever season had begun. So, after a few more hours of work, she nipped down to Sainsbury’s to get some medicine expecting it to be empty given lockdown had begun just a few hours before. To her surprise (and dismay), it was pretty busy and no one was maintaining social distancing. The cashiers at checkout were not wearing gloves and everyone in the queue was squished up really tight. Then a man who was buying 2 Flake yoghurts coughed in her face. On return home, she Dettol’d everything possible.
Alex began cooking a potato, aubergine and mushroom curry in the afternoon in between lectures. He sought advice from Leila as to how to curate the spices. It slow cooked for 3 hours through the rest of the afternoon. Alex stopped working around 6pm to join his friends in their weekly D&D gaming whilst Leila continued to work. They had a break to eat the curry, and then Alex returned to his games. Meanwhile, Leila did some unpacking, spoke to her friends and read her book in bed.
