Day 41: TV day in the rain

Alex woke up quite early and failed to give Leila a fancy latte art coffee, rather it looked like a mess. Leila was feeling itchy and while Alex was working on his Togo memo before the lunchtime (US time) meeting, she baked vegan chocolate chip cookies. It was raining and pretty miserable so there wasn’t really an option of going outside all day (hence we forgot to write the blog), we instead sat inside on our various computers and typed away on each of our computers – Leila with her massive screen. The cookies were delicious and Alex ate that odd one in the centre of the picture below.

Alex had his lectures from 3pm onwards and wasn’t particularly engaged by his econometrics. He was pretty pleased with his Togo analysis though and presented to the guys at 5pm and he thinks they’ve done pretty well given all the uncertainty of the situation and lack of time. Leila had some frequent breaks from her work to do productive life things such as washing her hair, Pilates and the baking. Leila finished doing her regular work (it was a reasonably chill day) and then some Ismaili work at 6.45, Alex was playing games upstairs. They watched some cable girls with lots of drama and then Alex tuned into his final Dev-401 lecture while Leila cooked up a veggie meal. Alex finished his lecture and they had dinner with some wine (only Alex had wine), then they watched the Mandolorian episode 7 (it was sad and Leila was super surprised as every other episode was happy) and were going to head to bed but realised it was probably too early. Alex did a little bit of Macro and Leila watched even more cable girls, we watched loads of TV today!
