Monday started with L heading down to work (she was a little late) and A staying in bed and playing games. By the time he headed down, L was into her day, but not feeling too enthused about how it was going. A jumped between topics, doing the first lecture of CS-50, the Harvard introduction to computer science course, outside; it was really well taught but a little on the basic side for him to learn. He also tried again to understand how to use Ocean Protocol to do data-science work, and looked into the TOR for his World Bank work. He finally signed the contract for the World Bank short term consultancy, and officially starts next Monday! L slowly worked through her inbox, and did a barre class at 12.30 to try and rejuvenate her body. They both had lunch outside (at different times) but they wrote the blog together in the morning on the bench, Alex realised they’d lost a few days ago though, so they were 3 days behind!
L and A regrouped at around 2ish, L was feeling a bit sad about her uncles health, and A was feeling a bit lost between all his various different projects / activities. L went back to work and did calls, while Alex went upstairs, had a quick go on the guitar, and lay on the sofa in semi-meditation. He decided the thing he would be disappointed if he didn’t do over the next 3 months, would be to try and set up the dData platform, so he’s going to push his way through the technical jargon that’s way to hard for him. He called Rohan, and they chatted about life, his parents being separated, and ongoing projects. He then settled into looking at data stuff and L & A had a break around 5 for hugs, after Freddy had had a complaint session with L over the phone about work.
They decided to call it a day at 6pm and headed out for a walk South (they mainly walk North towards Camden/regent’s park and this was new and exciting). They walked to Russell Square and then through Bloomsbury and A chatted about his family that live there. They noticed how many people were sitting in the park outside and relaxing (one week ago this was not allowed). They also walked past Great Ormond St Hospital and L remembered all the time she spent there. A tried to push L into a group of pigeons and she freaked out and tried to sit on the floor so he couldn’t push her any further. The walk was long and nice. On return, L logged onto work for a bit more and A played football manager and watched Rick and Morty. L then decided to make sourdough rotis for the first time and she made a test one, before A joined her and took over. The rotis were good but we need to work on our rolling skills as they were far from round. They ate it with leftovers L had brought from home the day before – daal, chana bateta and sambaro.
After food, they headed up to bed as they had to wake up early the next day for the Tesco’s delivery. L was trying to chat to A but he was too sleepy to respond so she put her earplugs in and tried to sleep. Then A, half asleep, decided to start chatting again and asked her big hypothetical questions to which she did not reply.
