Day 62: Glass swallowing

The alarm went off at 7am exactly. The Tesco’s delivery man was bang on time and arrived at 7.01am and L ran downstairs to answer the door. A followed and they both unloaded the 80 items of shopping, half asleep. L felt weird doing it without having brushed her teeth. They both then went back to relax in bed for a little more. L came down to start work whilst A spent a while playing football manager and then made himself coffee. He started working on setting metamask, a way of transferring electrum (L has no idea what she is typing right now). They worked through the morning and A made himself a great sandwich with ham, avo and tomatoes.

A felt really good about making progress and chatted to Misha a bit on AWS advice. He was trying to set up Amplify as a way to connecting to S3 buckets (still no idea..). L went upstairs to do her work call and then A came up and joined her. They watched a few minutes of Jermaine Jenas trying a vegan diet. L was pretty low energy and hadn’t been outside the front door despite the 25 degree beautiful weather. She had found out her grandma wasn’t well either and had gone to the doctors. She made lunch which was a salad with bread, and realised she had managed to eat glass somehow. A later realised the pickle jar was missing a chunk of glass out of it. A joined a call on his SYPA next year and then headed out to Hampstead Heath to see Eva, who was really happy in her new job. She’d only been outside 3 times in the last 2 months and is being really cautious about COVID. Meanwhile, L continued working and washed her hair during the work day (guilty pleasure) before settling back down for evening calls. When A arrived back near 7, she was still on the phone to her colleagues. She then called her dad to ask what to do as her throat was feeling a little sore post glass eating. He told her it’d be fine and was just a swelling.

A decided to cook dinner and spent a while tossing up the options. He ended up following The Roasting Tin’s recipe for okra, cauliflower and sweet potato with spices. Whilst it cooked, A explained Football Manager to L (she was impressed/worried by how fast he could operate the game) and then they settled down to watch Money Heist episode 1. L quite enjoyed it, especially because it’s in Spanish. The veg was ready around 9.30 (it took longer than the recipe all;owed) so they ate it and then went to bed soon after, but L was too full so she couldn’t lie down for a while. A told her a story about them flying through the trees.
