Leila headed down to work, and Alex started his chill day, after he’d been told to ‘slow down’ by the World Bank. Leila avoided breakfast, and stuck to her intermittent fasting (it only lasted this day), she felt hungry for the first time and had to wait all morning. Work was pretty dull for L and when they took a break to write the blog outside on the bench, it was well received. They wrote the blog, and then went and gathered some Elderflower from the tree outside to give to Tony and Kay. A spent the day going through his to do list and also chatting more to the boys and discussing fireside topics. A made loads of potatoes for lunch, and L did a pilates class at 12.30, it wasn’t great again, but it was quick and L was pretty low energy. She spoke to Naima whom she had missed, and it was super nice to catch up. We then both had to join calls, A did a quick run beforehand and then chatted to Rohan and Michael Walton about the course assistant role and then the class about reasons for deferring the year.
L worked upstairs which felt a lot better, mostly for the change. She chatted to Iman and her grandma for a bit which made her feel good. A came up after his calls ended and they chatted about the new government guidance which allows us to see up to 6 people in private gardens (vs. 1 at the moment in public gardens) from Monday. The premier league will also re-start in 3 weeks! Boris avoided more questions on Dom Cummings in the news address and the government demo-d their Test and Trace app (which isn’t as impressive as L thought it would be). They went downstairs to make G&E (Elderflower) using Tony’s cordial, which was yummy. Then they sat outside to drink them whilst tuning into Cam’s live gig on Instagram and chatted to Kay a bit outside about groceries, sourdough and the plants. Concert was good and she sung 2 songs, of which one was on ukulele. L saw a plane track in the sky and smiled as it was the first one she’d seen in a while.
Then L ran outside as she had missed a call from Uber Eats. She panicked for 10mins that they had missed the driver and so lost their food. Turns out the order had been cancelled bizarrely and so she re-ordered the same thing. The restaurant then called and said they were sorry for the error and the food was on it’s way and all hope was restored. They had salmon ceviche bowls and the restaurant separated the sauce, plantain chips and popcorn for L which was so lovely. They then chatted to Pri and Anish for an hour. L’s phone was about to die so they put it in the charger and rested it on the painting. They had to lie down to both fit in the frame, and the result is that the looked way too cute and comfortable for a 3 way call (see below).
L suggested watching Money Heist but A was tired and wanted to go to bed before 10pm. L was secretly super happy and they listened to Ludovico’s “at home” album whilst looking at the clear moon and another airplane track in the sky.
