Alex woke Leila up as it had gone 8.30am and she hadn’t got up for work yet. Leila was thankful but also glad she had a mini lie-in as it was Friday. She started work at 8.45am whilst Alex had a slow morning. He did some admin whilst L worked. He had breakfast (toast) surprisingly, and then headed out to do a shop at lunch time. He needed to refresh. He listened to Today in Focus and got angry about Hong Kong and China’s new unilaterally imposed security law as well as about care homes during the COVID 19 crisis. L took a break at lunch to do a Barre class, which she was thankful for in hindsight as her afternoon of work was pretty hectic and frustrating (she had to re-draft an email 1 million times). Thankfully at 6.30pm her New York colleagues said they would take over. Alex had tried to give her a glass of white wine to celebrate the end of the week but she had refused until all work was done. They enjoyed the chilled white wine outside before it got too cold, at which point they returned and read about their personalities on 16 personalities. Theirs are both surprisingly accurate, and they are total opposites. The only real thing they had in common is difficulty expressing emotion… bodes well. Then they watched Imogen Heap on Royal Albert Hall at home. She was really quirky and did a song outside in the woods on her walk and played lots of different sounds and layered them. Then they cooked all the leftover veg and listened to music including Passion Pit before heading to bed.
