Day 75: Beers in the Park

L didn’t sleep well again, so A headed downstairs to her (overnight moved to) bed early morning. L got up quickly and headed downstairs for work, while A took a bit longer to get up and down, and L was already in place with her coffee, breaking only to do the blog They both worked through the morning with L and A in their respective zones, L dragged A out of his, as she made him a lovely lunch. They ate lunch together in the sun and L pointed out a grey hair and picked it off A’s head. L then went on to join a bunch of calls, and A headed out to meet Sam near the flat.

He listened to episodes of the Daily on the way over, he enjoyed listening about QAnon as well as the tensions between active vs. peaceful protests. He had a nice chill with Sam in the sun and they chatted about the NHS and working in medicine at this time, then Olesya and Joe joined, and they carried on chatting way past when they expected. A jumped away to chat to Alice for an hour, and came back and Joe was still there and they kept going to about 8pm (after meeting up at 3).

Meanwhile, L was in hyper productive mode and worked continuously breaking only for 30mins during which time she cleaned the kitchen, and then again for 15mins later to finish hoovering. She had a nice call with Freddie who introduced a new project to her, which they’d be working on together. She finished just before 7pm, showered quickly and went out for a walk. She planned to listen to Spanish podcasts but was quite mentally overwhelmed and needed chill after work so she listened to music instead and called her grandma. She picked up more cleaning supplies and headed back home to cook dinner, which was a super easy tumeric roasted cauli, guacamole and falafels. She also made cheese on toast for A to supplement. Whilst it was cooking, she sat outside with a glass of red wine and watched Cable Girls at which point A returned home.

They ate dinner together in the usual spot and A asked L to choose the evening entertainment. They watched 3 mins of High School Musical 3 before turning it off, and flipped to live TV where L introduced “don’t tell the bride” to A and they watched a man host a wedding in a pig farm, and then tried to break a Guiness World Record for the largest pig parade (and failed) but in the end his reception was decent so his wife didn’t kill him. Then L saw that “naked attraction” was on, and was shocked that A hadn’t even heard of it before. She made him watch it for 30 mins and they saw a very confident lady pick a personal trainer muscley man (over a nice Scottish lad), who then dumped her after 15 mins on the date. They then headed to bed and chatted about Indian weddings. A stayed awake until after L fell asleep.
