Leila woke up early so she could finish off watching the brown-eyed / blue-eyed classroom exercise on discrimination before starting work. She was due to send out an email to the wider team to encourage them to watch this before their diversity session the following week so needed to watch it before hitting send. She then started work and Alex came downstairs too. They logged onto CogX to watch Ruki’s talk for a bit, she was super clear and confident and Leila was impressed. At lunch Alex decided to head to Southwark to get some work done. He had a lit review due for the World Bank later in the week. He was quite productive there, but it was a little lonely and Leila felt the same back at the house. She barely moved whilst A was gone and sat there working. At about 7 after work she was craving Spaghetti bolognese and went on a mission to find some vegan mince, which she found easily in the closest Sainsburys to them. She was glad that her craving for spaghetti made her leave the house, even if it was only for 20mins and it was raining. Alex cycled back and then they both cooked the bolognese together and had a glass of wine with it. Whilst cooking, they logged into Karim’s Economic Planning Board webinar which was actually really well done, and Alex noticed the McKinsey powerpoint presentation.
