It’s Thursday and Alex has nothing until the evening. He decided he was going to work on the Course Assistant (CA) role that day and up until lunch. Leila was in a really good mood and spoke to Rehana in the morning for 30mins and chatted about life, moving in with boyfriends ahead of marriage and making VP. Alex was still asleep and when he came down at 10am and Leila had already done some work and been for a walk, she was super jealous that he had had a lie in. Then Leila chatted to Helen for half an hour and asked her about her promotion and the response was essentially that she didn’t have to do anything, which Leila feels weird about. At 11.30, L did her first Barrecore stretch class which was the highlight of her day – 30mins stretching to Ludovico Einaudi whilst it was softly raining outside.
A went for a run after lunch and struggled with his headphones as usual. Is it bad that Leila finds this funny every time? He talked to Ashan and Pankhuri on the phone and ran to Primrose Hill. He came back and gave L a hug whilst he was super sweaty and she cried a little inside because her entire outfit would then need to go straight in the laundry, but it was also quite funny. Then he came back and had calls for the CA role and was really impressed by how much the teachers did care about having a good experience with the students. After work, L watched a video of South Asians talking about their experiences migrating from Uganda as part of a migration matters festival but they were all being really melodramatic and she turned it off after a few minutes. They then reheated some leftovers for dinner and sat outside – Alex had gnocchi and Leila had an egg. Then Alex had a call 8-9pm whilst Leila watched a few minutes of Greys Anatomy and then showered, and headed to bed before 9pm. A joined her at 9pm and they had a chilled evening and watched some One Tree Hill together, L was v happy and chilled. A told her a story (which she obviously couldn’t remember at all the next day) and she fell asleep quickly.
