Day 98: RuMeera

A woke up first and stayed in bed for a bit before gathering his strength and going down for a coffee. He then popped up again just before L awoke and they headed downstairs. It was the hottest day of the year so far, so it was absolutely sweltering outside. A wasn’t wearing a top and L was in her gym gear. L found out in the morning that Courtney had successfully had a super cute little baby, and so spent the morning looking up well-sourced baby outfits, and found lot of fruit based ones but lots of the little ones for newborns had sold out. She finally decided on a vegetable clothing and toy that benefits the 13 villages project, supporting women in 13 villages in Ethiopia. L prepared them a super good lunch and they wrote the blog and then ate it outside. While they wrote the blog, A soaked his hand in soapy water as per online instructions for his gammy fingernail.

In the afternoon, they both kept working, with A trying to improve his ADB submission, while L trundled through the days work. L made crumble and a beautiful dinner whilst on the phone, and she found that her productivity actually improved whilst doing other things and listening in. She then headed off to see Rumi and Mira at Rumee’s place and was all prepped to do her first Boris Bike cycle by herself. She left A with food and watching the Man Utd match (it was already 1-0 at this point, thanks to Martial)

L’s bike ride was a bit of a fail as she realized there were no bike stations near Rumi’s place so she ended up stopping after 10mins and then walking the rest of the way (in hindsight, this was a good thing because she could watch a bit of the football on SkyGo and she saw the second goal). When she arrived Meera and Rumi were already on the balcony and they had some nice white wine and chatted in the sun, it was almost 30 degrees at 7pm and L was melting. They chatted about boyfriends, diversity /BLM and anxiety during lockdown. They left at 8,15 as Rumi’s girlfriend was arriving but L and Meera walked together for a bit after and continued chatting which she really enjoyed. She then cycled back home and ate the paneer straight away. A was deep in work mode and a little frustrated at his lack of motivation (even though L disagrees). L apologised for a comment about washing up that was totally unnecessary. He continued working whilst L showered and they headed to bed early where they both read next to each other for a while. A was quieter than usual and L was worried but glad she was next to him. He fell asleep super quickly.
