Day 104: Poke and Rebook

They got up at 8.30 together but A stayed in bed to work, and as he’d committed the day before to try and get back into a working routine (as he was now going sto do full days of World Bank work). They worked, L on her big screen and A on his World Bank stuff. He wasn’t feeling great it though, and felt like his motivation was missing. Liyana had messaged L in the morn and said she was going to Spain, Freddie was going to Majorca on a boat and they felt pretty weird about travelling in the UK (weather and driving particularly). A chatted to his mum and dad about deferral and they were supportive of deferral but also were worried about their big driving trip. A & L had a chat and started looking into whether they could book somewhere abroad (maybe Croatia) instead of their big driving holiday. L presented at a risk and leadership to Sarah, which she did well in, and was pleased. It was the last day of June so they wanted to use their 30% off Uber Eats voucher so they ordered Poke. While they waited for it to arrive, they went on a quick walk to CDY, and chatted through holiday planning, A did not want to rebook (because of admin stress) but L was keen to do it and happy to put in the effort of the rebook if they were both happy to do it. The got poke, which L added Tahini too, and wrote the blog in the eve. A then continued working and watching some of the football (Man U were playing) while L did her WCSI pictures and presentation downstairs. A was still down about doing WB work, and had a bath to chill out, which worked. They went up to bed and A read his book ‘Land of Jade’ out loud to L in order to help her sleep.
