L slept much better in Kings Cross back with A but woke up really early anyways. A also got up quite early and they both started working. A was working on linking Myanmar datasets which is what he thought his job would be initially and feels much happier doing so. L made them both a lunch of sweet potato, spinach, leeks and cabbage and they ate it together outside. In the afternoon, A headed out to Waitrose to buy a nice bottle of wine for his godfather and came back with some genuine goodies (Belazu tahini, pumpkin seeds) and some not so genuine ones (a gross blue juice, see below). L took a break to talk to Ruki and went for a walk to CDY in the afternoon whilst chatting to her about how things were going at home and sleep.
L worked until about 8pm as she was making a slide for their next diversity session. Meanwhile, A went outside to chat to Vicky who had just got engaged. It was a very pre planned engagement which Alex was surprised about, but Leila was not (obviously you talk about getting engaged before you do…….!). Then A made some potatoes and L made some salmon which she had marinaded earlier in miso ginger and sesame as well as some broccoli. She tried really hard not to overcook it but ended up undercooking it, so it went back on the pan but then came out perfect. They sat upstairs and had a glass of fizzy (?) red wine, whilst watching episode 2 of Peaky Blinders Season 1 which L loves despite having already seen it.
