Monday
They woke up at 9 and packed up to leave the apartment. A showered whilst L made a breakfast of all their leftover food to eat on the terrace – brown bread, tomatoes, cheese, honey, berries and pear. Then they headed with the suitcase towards the sea promenade and it was hot. L couldn’t swim that day so she sat in the shade next to a boat with load music and read whilst A had a dip in the sea. Then they headed to back lane bar again (3rd time) and had a coffee. L tried rice milk which was super sweet but quite nice. Then they hung out until the ferry at lunch time and dipped their feet in the sea. On the ferry they read Alex’s CV and cover letter and arrived in Split. L was feeling a bit nauseous still so they headed straight to the hotel (which had given them an upgrade) and had a chill for a bit. They then tried to get a bite to eat but the whitebait place had no whitebait, they couldn’t find a beach hat, and then the veggie place on Tripadvisor didn’t exist. They ended up wandering to Fig Split which was also shut and then went to get a grilled sweetcorn and some doughnuts (which were superbly savoury, A added Nutella) and ate them on the promenade. L had spent some time googling Croatian Gin because A really wanted some and the place online looked quite far. Luckily she found a bar that served Curzola 1298 so they headed their for a G&T and a pale ale. They sat there and worked / read for a bit but L still wasn’t feeling great so she headed back early, but got distracted by the olive oil shop and got chatting to the lady and tried her tuna and mussels (which she then bought for their picnic the next day). They rested in the bedroom then headed out to try Kurbuna gin in olive oil bar and then A found Old Pilots in the cigar shop right next door! Then they rushed to SPAR to get more food for the next day, L had found a super deal on their trip to Kyrka the next day with grey line so they booked online and rushed to the store to check some details. Now settled for the next day they went to Fig Split where they ordered a feast (All veggie for the first time since they arrived). There was an opera going on nearby so they ate and listened and it was super nice. They then came back for just past 10 (May have forgotten something here)
