Saturday
A & L had planned a chill day for the weekend, as a bit of a recovery after being in Croatia for the previous week, the plan was to catch up on admin and to get cracking on some Civil Service applying and Ismaili work respectively. They headed to Notes in the morning for a coffee, with L jumping on a call with Karim and A having a chill and taking bad photos of her. The coffee was quite nice and although it was a little windy, they had a good time and enjoyed drinking out of real cups. L chatted to Karim about the possibility of joining a new Coronavirus economic response team, reporting to him and her dad, she felt a little odd about it and needed some time to think.
They then came back, L did some more calls and they also wrote a crazy amount of blog, because they were several days behind. They upgraded this blog to premium for the extra image space and were quite pleased with their commitment for the year. A did a bunch of the rest of his applications, and L made some quick food (which was delish). Throughout this all, they listened to the new Taylor Swift album and ended up listing through a bunch of her back catalogue too which was minorily embarrassing.
They sat on the sofa for a while and it was grey and nasty outside. L was googling holidays, and A did a little work. A felt itchy feet about being inside all day and quite literally dragged L out of the house to Buck Street Market in Camden where they had a voucher for cheap food and semi-cheap things. It didn’t rain at all (despite what it looks like in the pictures and Alex getting wet) and they ordered Quinoa Arepas from a Peruvian lady who looked incredibly confused that anyone had ordered anything from her, she then took a further hour to prepare them. They found glass coffee which was actually really cool, and A had a juice out of an orange. On the way back they popped into Electric Ballroom to reminisce about drunken times that they had had there, and were both impressed by the innovation to turn into a bar.
On their wander home, they went into Traid and bought a top for Leila, they didn’t buy a top for Alex because L said he was too fat to fit into the jacket. When they got home, they weren’t very hungry and watched a bit of peaky blinders, had a shower, and headed to bed after A booked his Charroux getaway with Ben and Krook
