L hadn’t slept but had loads of work to do, and so was up super early writing her diversity action plan and prepping for her meetings throughout the day. She headed out to Granger and Co, it had opened that day. She had an OFW followed by a matcha latte because she’s an addict, she did some calls outside and came back at 12.15 by which time A had just arisen and was hanging out upstairs.
A headed out and was going to work in Caravan but decided to work in the downstairs area near Redemption roasters and drunk coffee and chilled in the sun. He stupidly didn’t take any pictures, but had an ok time in the sun. L was getting overloaded with work and was back to back throughout the day. It was pretty crazy. They were quite far away from each other throughout the day, and they didn’t really talk. After A went out, L did a WCSI career mapping session which she did from Notes and she found it super hard to think of a goal which she was proud of achieving at work, but her diversity work was awesome.
After work was mostly over, A came back and helped L take her COVID test which involved her sticking a long stick up her nose and to her tonsils which she gagged a bit on. It was way less scary and unpleasant than she thought it would be. They ran to get to the last post and made it, registered it and felt a lot better that they’d been checked. A cooked, he made a stir fry of all the ingredients left in the fridge, mostly sausages and pak choi, and added a bit too much chilli so L had to go downstairs and add lots of hummus and tahini to cool it down to an acceptable level. They then headed out to Camden along the canal path and chatted and talked about feeling vulnerable and A’s choices. They decided they need to talk more about their relationship and be more emotional together.
They came back and continued talking to quite late, even though L was super tired, it ended up happy and they watched Nigella and fell asleep.
