Leila started the day with Halima at 9am, and A came down to find her pretty emotionally exhausted by the time they got to chat. They worked together throughout the day, and A went out to buy cleaning gear and food for the weekend. There was a lot to finish off for the weekend, especially as L was covering the entire office by the sounds of it. They were both exhausted and having pretty bad days by the evening but L felt a bit better because she had a nice chat with an intern and had the kick off for her start up council. They then watered the plants and chatted to Kay for a bit, L was excited by the cucumbers in the garden. She then went to pack for Arabella’s and went off in search of a gift for her. By this point it was quite late and both of them were still really tired and L a bit moody.
They went into Coal Drops Yard bringing a bottle of wine as a bit of an end-of-week celebration but when they arrived it was absolutely heaving, with people everywhere and really did not feel like their vibe. They spent a while trying to find Arabella a gift and ended up with wine, cured meat, pasta and flatbread from Lina Stores.
They tried a few places to grab a quick bite but there was a wait everywhere. Instead, they opened up their own bottle of wine and sat by the kids fountain and got really excited about Eat Out to Help Out, and A booked more restaurants in 20mins than he had in his life. They got takeaway pasta from Lina Stores and ate it at home at 10pm. A opened a second bottle of wine which L did not agree with, but she was happy to stay up so she could eat another bowl of granola (weep). Then they passed out for a solid night’s sleep.
