Thursday
We woke up and worked through the morning, A was feeling a bit all of the place because he no longer had clear direction following his call with the World Bank the previous day, he worked on McKinsey work, setting up his computer and working through some preparation for his call with Carlo the next day.
L was fighting fires for another day, she found out that one of her juniors who she trained up in New York had decided to leave and therefore she was going to get hit with even more work than usual. They both spent the day staring at the computer, at least until lunch when they briefly reunited. A was feeling pretty tense about everyone watching him the next day, and he was nervous all day.
L went for a chill and barre and just after she finished, A headed off to Regent’s park for a run and a re-think about what he was doing. He ran / walked the whole way around and thought about how he should be spending his time going through his pitch deck tomorrow rather than worrying about McKinsey work. He had a shower when he got home and a think. L was super helpful and ran through the pitch deck with Alex before she had to head off to Primrose Hill to see her friends. She had to get a Bolt there because she was running late but made it on time to the terrace at The Queens pub to meet Tom, Abi and Anish. They had a super nice time and had white wine and some food, and L chatted about D&D and knew that A would be proud.
A rewrote the pitch deck with all of L’s help included, and then went to bed early before L came back. L took an Uber back with Anish and they watered the garden together and L came up to bed and A woke up to cuddle up with her.
