Day 160: Chilling through the day

Tuesday

Both A & L woke up (initially) a little early because L had had a dream where Liyana has caused trouble (she had forgotten exactly what) and she grabbed A for a hug around 6am. A, true to form, went back to sleep but L stayed awake for a while. After L had done a bit of work and A had properly surfaced, they headed off for a final eat out to help out coffee. They tried Granger and Notes but they were both full and they finally managed to sneak into the last table at Caravan. Unfortunately it was super noisy and the coffee was terrible (unlike when A’s usual guy makes it) so they headed out pretty fast.

When they got back, they worked together in the kitchen for a little bit and A had another coffee (because the first had been so rubbish). A had a call with Carlo scheduled for the afternoon so he headed upstairs while L carried on working in the Kitchen. L was in a good mood and absolutely smashed through work, this may be related with A being far away and therefore not distracting her but they cannot prove causation. L was on a roll and felt super productive all afternoon and enjoyed her 20 min break where she chatted to her grandma for the first time in about a week.

A’s call with Carlo was a nice change of pace (to McK rapid 30 min productive calls) and was nice to do. After the call he had a break playing Trojan Total War which he loved. L meanwhile came up to offer him a snack but was on pretty much back-to-back work and calls. After a bit, A came down and L was concerned she had a sore throat. She messaged her assistant in the office about maybe getting a test but was told to not come in if she was feeling even a little ill. A’s fairly sure that it’s pretty unlikely that we have Covid a 6/7th time but better to be prepared.

L headed to Poundland after work to get some bathroom storage and was amazed but the amount of cleaning products there. She also bought A £1 flip flops and tangfastics because she knows how to win his heart over. She got caught in the rain on the way back but chilled out and did some yoga which she loved. A made a quick dinner of mackerel, kale and potato cake which was yummy and looked super fancy. They ate it upstairs and then played a game of heads up which they were surprisingly good at. A then played games whilst L watched OTH. L does not know how A still managed to ask 100questions per minute about OTH despite being in the middle of a game with his big headphones on. L then read in bed for a bit as it got to crunch time in her book and A joined her shortly after. They fell asleep happy and comfortable.
