They had 1 day in Toronto after Italy and they got civilly partnered!!! And Alex did lots of medical tests.
Mexico
They arrived in heaven aka Fairmont Mayakoba and decided to pay for an upgrade to the casita because it was cheap and the room was beaut. They had a few days of super chill, enjoying the new beach club area and reading lots. A spent lots of time by the pool with iguanas. L had a sinus infection but she still felt sooo lucky to be in Mexico. A did a day of work for McKinsey calibration / reviews but he sat in the breakfast area all day and really enjoyed doing it and writing good feedback for his DGLs. They ate big breakfasts every day and slept lots. They watched Hunger the Thai movie in bed. They loved Fuego beach club food and the cocktail bar at the Rosewood where there was a lovely band.
Gulshan Auntie passed away shortly after so L’s mum and dad came to Toronto. A went to the funeral with the whole family and L went to NYC for work. L felt unreally happy that her partner had gone to her great aunts funeral alone, and held the coffin, and supported her family in such a profound way. They celebrated Shiloo’s birthday that week too as well as Aminas, when L and A hosted a party for her in their party room and ordered Pai and Kebabs.
They had a random dinner date at JaBistro after a bad day at work, and it was lovely. They spent a really nice day walking around with L’s mum and went to good fork and they bought lots of things from second hand shops.
Alex went to see Placebo with Will at History and got quite drunk. He also spent 4 hours cutting onions at McKinsey’s day of service.
They went to Patois caribbean for dinner – it was good but not their fave type of cuisine. They then went to Amina’s bday party at Concorde and danced with nani. and L felt SO happy once again. Mysha brought her gf to the party for the first time!
They went to the Xmas market at distillery and had a nice drink at the bar.
Alex had a random boys night where they got drunk (again) having gone to the Ace and to La Palette with Conor and Will.
Avi and Ruchi came to Toronto! They went to PEC and stayed in the Picton hotel called the Standard. They gave us warm cookies and champagne on arrival and it was lovely. L was very happy. A bought llama wool for his grandma and they went to strange brew which was a brewery in a mans house and stood by his fire and chatted whilst drinking beer, then went to a nice vineyard where they played the National. They also got tacos from Wellington. In the eve they went to Bocado for dinner. The next day they had coffee and went to Sandbanks for a long walk, it was great, then to a Xmas market and a brewery for pizza and beers. THe drive home was manic because the weather was so bad and L was quite scared as the driver, but they made it. They listened to Bear Grylls on the way home on a podcast. They went to Grey gardens with Ruchi for her bday the next week and set up a little party at home with balloons and cookies on her 30th.
