Day 77: TurKish MArket(XX)

A found L upstairs this time in the morn, and cuddled up with her as she’d retreated in the night to another room. We were worried it was hay fever in the night and thought that we should have kept the downstairs window shut. We resolved to wash all the sheets to make sure they weren’t contributing to the hay fever. We headed down to work, and again L was straight into working with the COO of the black network to organise events for the week. A decided not to work on World Bank research, but instead focus on dData. He chatted to Tom Brown, in Australia, another MPAID in the morning, which was super nice, and they talked about how they dealt with time difference, and how chill it was in Aus. A then settled into a 2 hour Ocean Protocol presentation over lunch. After the presentation and a bit of fiddling with coding, he received his TK Maxx package (with shirts and shoes) and celebrated by going for a walk with L. They walked out to the Turkish little shop, and bought injera that they source locally.

They didn’t go long because it was raining the moment they got out and A swapped jackets with L as in the pic. When they got back it L headed back into work and the neighbours were having a little party outside. L got a glass of wine and carried on working while A coded upstairs. Was pretty productive from A’s side and he got a rough website working before joining his roommates in Cambridge weekly call, where they chatted about how all their internships were super unstructured and it felt really odd. L made A a super nice cheese on toast and left it on the stairs and A ate it during his convo and was really happy.

L carried on working until super late. She was working with Tony which was nice, and he asked about Alex and how he was doing, which felt super sincere. L finished at about 8pm and then cooked Tempeh for the two of them and they settled into dinner upstairs and then watched 13th about the prison system in the US and how it discriminates against black people.
