A spent the morning chatting with Dell, trying to replace his computer. He spent ~2 hours on the phone with them trying to work out what was wrong before they decided that he had to change the full motherboard. He suggested they give him a full replacement rather than sending over a repairman. He then spent the rest of the morning working and so did L. L had a catch up chat with her mentee and advised her to enjoy lockdown rather than trying to work 100%. A spent most of the time working upstairs though as he realised he could connect to the TV as a second screen. He interrupted L’s pilates to show off his amazing lunch and the tasting plate that he’d made for her (see below)
L went for a walk a 4pm and chatted to Arabella while she walked around CDY. They talked about her life on the farm, holidays and major life updates as they hadn’t talked in a while. L came back and worked unproductively even though A wasn’t downstairs to distract her. A decided to head back to Chiswick in order to see the fam and join them for their first dinner out. The tube was empty, but he still wore gloves and mask. The food at high road house was super good, and it was really nice to see and chat with the fam over dinner, wine and cocktails. He then quickly jumped in the house to unpack his stuff that had been brought from the flat and to gather anything he needed for a holiday. Meanwhile L continued working, watched one-tree hill, ate two deserts, read the FT and then joined her call from 9 – 10.30 about getting youth engaged in AKDN and enjoyed catching up with Munira who she went to Tajikistan with and found out that her baby sleeps from 8pm – 7am.
L was in bed and had started reading by the time A returned. He got in and they spent 30 mins just debriefing on their days and they cuddled up and went to sleep late.
